Heavy Anti-Dumping Duties Hit Chinese Anti-Corrosive Steel Imports

The Department of Commerce  found that imports of corrosion-resistant steel products from China, India, Italy, and Korea, had been illegally dumped in the US, in violation of international law, and also announced a negative preliminary determination in the anti-dumping investigation of imports of corrosion-resistant carbon steel pipe from Taiwan.

All other producers/exporters in China received the China-wide rate of 255.80%. This


As a result of the preliminary affirmative determinations, Commerce will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to require cash deposits based on these preliminary rates.

Many of these producers are already paying countervailing duties on their imports of hot-dipped galvanized and other anti-corrosive coating steel pipe.
